While you are here, why not take the pledge for sustainability - your first step towards shaping our common future.

Do you have a passion for telling stories through your camera? Use your lens creatively and weave four photos into a story – this is all it takes to be a part of this photo story challenge. It does not matter if you are a professional photographer, a photojournalist or an amateur photo enthusiast. Let’s zoom in and focus on the ways in which others make our lives better. Based on the final submission, participants will be shortlisted for the Photo Work Lab. Selected photo-stories will be presented at the Climate Jamboree Finale scheduled from 1-3 November 2018 in front of 10,000 youth.

Theme

Sustained global economic growth remains an integral part of meeting the targets set as part of sustainable development goals. Socio-economic inequalities call for inclusive growth which is mindful of the dignity of the vulnerable, promotes safe working spaces for all and is focused on mainstreaming everyone into the society irrespective of their professions. Every day different people support and facilitate our lives in different ways. In an attempt to truly understand and empathise with the issues which surround them, we encourage you to depict the daily life of one such person (from one of the two given categories), societal perspective and other’s behaviour towards them through a story created using 4 photos and a short narrative.

Category 1: Home service providers (for example, a cook, domestic worker, gardener, waste collectors, electrician, etc.)
